First…I am an rookie playing with big toys. I have my HVX200 talking and recording direct to a Firestore 100, and I get playback on the camera. I am recording in DVCPRO HD in the raw dv format (have tried P2 as well, but Mac will not read the mxf file). I hook the FS100 to my Mac and I can see the .dv files, which when I pull up to play in Quicktime they are ust color pixels.

I am ultimately tring to bring in files to import to iMovie.

    Any suggestions?

I believe you need Final Cut Pro in order to work with the DVCPROHD codec- iMovie is not going to cut it here.
