  • Hi Bart,

I know it’s a little too late, but in case you haven’t figured it out yet, you’ll get the gradient contraols when you have the ancho controls enabled (Y).

  • Hi Stephen,

Referring to my project, let’s say that my in-animation is 10 frames, stay is 10 frames, and out-animation is 10 frames. Now, I have duplicated the comp and placed it at the out-animation of the previous comp so that when the first comp animates-out, my second comp animaties-in. Now, when I modify the transform properties on the null, their speeds will change procedurally, but the comp placement of the second comp does not change. I still have to shift the placement of the second comp to match the out-animation of the first comp.

    Hi Stephen,

I appreciate the time you’ve taken to explain the expression. Although, when I use the expression itself, it doesn’t work. I’m using the latest version of AE. Could there be something that I’m not doing right?

    Hi Michael,

Not to sound incompetent, but would you happen to be aware the expressions in question? 🙂

    Hi Justin,

The boole+sweep technique is very buddy, my shaders begin to behave strangely at the corners, making the boole high quality causes my reveal to disappear on certain frames. I’d like to know if there’s a way I can create a reveal matte in the UV section and apply it as an alpha in one of its shader properties. All this is hypothetics from my experience in C4D. Please help!

    Hi Daniel,

Thank you for your response. I have a couple of questions.

Considering my goal is to use procedural Mo-Graph animation on the logo, I was wondering if there was a blending attribute in AE itself that I can use. I’m definitely considering doing the entire logo manually, however I’m just contemplating exploring another method.

Any insight would be super! Thanks again, Daniel.

    Hi Brain,

I’m aware on how to composite it, I just wanted to see reference in the c4d render viewport itself. Any Ideas?

    Hi Steve,

Thanks for the response. By the time you replied I had already sorted my problem. The thing is that I was rendering about 150 metal beams reflecting high resolution hdri maps in HD. When my work files arrived in the render farm their servers were crashing. Initially I thought it was my instance files so I sent them editable files. Then I realized it was the work pace itself that was so heavy, so I split the beams into 5 different work files so they can be rendered layer by layer and I could add them together in compositing later.

This is a nice script, Mark. Not what I’m looking for though. Michael figured out a good technique for me to use. Thank you for your time, Mark.
