Great suggestion.
If it isn’t there, there is always someone who thought of a workaround.
Thanks Ronaldo!!!

Reshape uses masks to reshape a layer.
Sometimes It can be a bear of an effect, and you need to make sure your mask points are linked properly — otherwise it looks kinda crappy.https://library.creativecow.net/articles/zwar_chris/morph.php

Gosh, didn’t know that Nills. I’ll pull them down and talk to the CFO about purchasing the network seats, which aren’t that pricey (490$ — yes?) for unlimited seats. But let me ask you this! If I buy one unlimited seat, can I install it at multiple locations? Or is it a per site license? Software stuff gets so confusing.

Winds up if you copy your effects folder from your plug ins folder from an activated box to the render drones it works (in OS X atleast). I’m curious if there is a better — less hacksaw — method to do this.

Thanks.
The only problem is when stuff overlaps, and then you matte it in post, you get some really strange results because mattes kinda checkerboard onto each other.

I disagree. Zaxwerks has so many plug and play presets, its total cake to work with — whats their motto? Something like creating 30 animations in a day? Read the manual and you could have something created in an hour or two. Don’t be intimidated by Zaxwerks — a novice can learn it quick, and a master can really churn out some high end stuff.
However Blender, can be confusing if its a new interface for you, but there are tons of tutorials available online.

CS4?
Extrude an .ai file in blender. Fire out the .obj to photoshop, and import it to CS4.
Otherwise — follow the tutorial listed above — or give a stab at blender!
Zaxwerks is a good option too.

I’ve found the puppet tool isn’t so good by itself. I haven’t successfully puppeted a whole character with JUST that tool. Its not bad for elbows/knees, but its not so hot for shoulders/hands/feet/heads. A hybrid setup is the way to go if you have time. Seems like ‘puppet pin tool’ isn’t exactly the best thing Adobe as created. If it was done more like the new ‘bone tool’ in flash, I could see it being a VERY valuable resource. (I’d use it A LOT from what I’ve seen in the new flash demos — )
If you break a character down as per how Ebbert instructs you, use the IK setup, do some custom mods if you have to, he did an amazing job on that breakdown!
Don’t forget, its a simple equilibrium. The more time you spend rigging your character the less time you spend animating. And the less time you spend rigging your character the more time you spend animating. Find the zen point!

Also, I rebooted EVERYTHING, and it didn’t fix it.
I’ve set up farms before, but I don’t recall this happening. Usually when you get the ‘skipping’ dialog, its really really fast — fast to the point where its not on the screen long enough to read.
