Small box farm, 3 machines, 2 octos, 1 quad.

The problem is that none can keep up with each other! If one pulls ahead, it seems that the
(skipping x:xx:xx:xx) is taking FOREVER, so they aren’t really working together.

For instance, I launched the watch folder through the render engine an an octo. Went to the bathroom. Come back, its on frame three hundred something, so then I set the 2 other boxes to watch the same folder, and they do successfully, they just can’t get up to the frames ahead of the octo that started it! Basically, they aren’t processing data fast enough to get past frames they are skipping. So the machine that started rendering is on frame 600, but the other computers are dragging along trying to get to frame 601. Its on a shared Dulce 14TB shared server, which is darn fast, so I’m baffled as to why this is happening.

    Suggestions?

Also, I rebooted EVERYTHING, and it didn’t fix it.

I’ve set up farms before, but I don’t recall this happening. Usually when you get the ‘skipping’ dialog, its really really fast — fast to the point where its not on the screen long enough to read.
