rafalaos, I did what you suggested. All x-y cordinates is an even number. And I still have the jitters..
This is a Dv camera tape scaled down, cropped with a feathered edge and drop shadow in a YUV NTSC Targa Cine 8bit timeline placed over a generic color green matte. If I take the drop shadow off – NO Jitter…
I have made a work around by placing a flat black matte color same size etc behind the DV camera footage and then put the drop shadow on it…. while taking the drop shadow off the camera footage.
Not the way I want to work but with FCP there is always a way to skin the goose…

I have tried de-interlacing and flicker filter..
I will check my ‘y’ number, thanks

The removeable enclosure that I purchased at CompUSA was not engineered for a removeable Hard drive 5.25″ rig. I drilled 2 holes thru the bottom of the enclosure and added 2 rivets so when you removed the tray the whole rig would not come with it..
This is an external Firewire enclosure that allows me to remove and add blank Hard drives at will. This is using a Hot-swap 5.25 rig and tray.

Please Iomega Surviors, don’t take your old drives and parts down to my favorite swamp and then blast them with lead… My favorite friends, the frogs and salimanders do not thrive well with lead in their diet or the mercury and other toxins.
I used CompUSA parts for my external enclosure that has 2x 1394a and a USB 2 port. It is just called a 5.25 Aluminum External Enclosure for use with 5.25 drive… SKU#317414 and just add their 5.25 removeble tray rig plus drill 2 holes add 2 rivets.. and there you are.. Add hard drive of course.
I do have to say that I have not seen this item in their stores the last 2 months. It might be mail order only, now… But I have seen the same case under different names on the net. So I am sure it is just basic case anybody can stamp with a name.

I recieved a beta Rev a couple years ago, 35gig version. I was very excited about using it because most of my projects top out around 30 gigs. One Rev disc per project not bad… But one big problem, it came with only PC drivers,, no Mac drivers, no typical Mac access. So I called tech support no help, over a year later I see in the press that Iomega is pushing them hard, so I call tech support, new mac driver…. but still very iffy… The Rev has not made it beyond my email-billing computer and I was hoping for the best.. It is still plugged in sitting right next to my Orb drive and never used…
Instead I went to CompUSA, purchased an external Firewire CD rom enclosure and their removeable drive rig/trays… $60 bucks for the Firewire enclosure, $20 for the removeable rig, and $9 for the trays..
That and 2 rivits and I was a humming… yes the fans in the trays are noisey until they warm up… but I just use them for storage and back-up and now have over 20 trays with 250 or 300 gig HD in them…
They are great…

Rick so you have met
Yesterday Error 41 took a bite out of me also.. I was trying to open an edit from last week for final client changes and it would not open. Previous edit Projects would open but not last weeks. I was running a G4 dual with OS and FCP and QT with everything updated as of 4 weeks ago. Friday morning, Software Update said I needed to update a few apps.. I remember one of the apps being a security patch, and a couple others…… Whats the problem I said, the computer has been running like a charm, everything has been current so this little update won’t hurt…… as I heard Wally screaming in my ear, never do it before the project is delivered,,, I pressed the button,,, hey I need a little more time for coffee and to finish the morning paper…….
And now the dreaded
Trashing prefs did not help…. anybody got an idea…. short of turning into a caffine monster as I stay up redoing everything….. (About 15 hours lost) -
According to the net the London store went offline today cause somebody leaked “Octo core” and Octo core would be useless without an operating system that was multi threaded to take advantage of 8 cores which should be Leopard..
NAB will have a few surprises me thinks… everybody else has been pluging ahead, an Apple has been just steady…. something tells me that Apple will kick butt at NAB…
Time for BIG movement, BIG things

Roddy, I have a DXC35wsl with the PVV3 back and have thought of shooting 16×9, but haven’t yet.
What problems or issues did you have to deal with when using Beta SP 16×9?
Whould it be of value to bump the BetaSP 16×9 up to DVCPro HD 16×9 ( or other HD format) for editing and distribution?
What camera are you using now and how does it compare to the DXC35wsl?
