Make sure you adjust the timing properly or leave it untouched – whichever is appropriate. These presets rely heavily on motion blur, so the timing is key. Also check your composition settings and enable motion blur preview.

Matchmover only outputs 2D data when using the direct AE output. It’s stated somewhere on their website. Pretty much every other tracker does the same. Unless they provide a special importer like Boujou, AE has no way of knowing how to handle the 3D data. You have to take the long way round by adding an intermediate step in your 3D app and using the tools provided there.

No, there is no way around this. This is an “intended behavior” just like AE re-arranges tabs that are not locked when you open a project. 😐 It’s more than annoying, but rest assured, I will make it a point to pester the Adobe people so they change it eventually.

Most likely 3D. Looks pretty much like a texturing technique I’m using in my C4D MoGraph iPod ad thingy (more polished of course). You certainly can do a simplified version of it with Particular, but it will be more difficult to control and it will lack the 3D-ishness due to the shading effects not being present.

I would not embed the audio at all. you can always add an audio track separately in Encore. Which format you choose is pretty much up to you if you use Encore 2.0 – it supports both AVI and QT. Just make sure to work as uncompressed as you possibly can and that you render with fields. You could also directly render out your clip as an MPEG-II video (m2v) and use it in Encore. this may save some time on authoring the DVD because it doesn’t need to be transcoded anymore.

Maybe it’s on a layer that’s not visible or has some other new option associated with it. Dunno, haven’t got my R10 yet (should arrive in the next few days), but I’d definitely check the layer manager if yomething is going on.

No, this seems indeed to be a bug. It’s behaving the same here on my Windows AE. Never noticed it before. :-\
