extrude along spline
Posted by Philo Calhoun on December 7, 2006 at 6:43 pmIs there a plugin for C4D R10 to extrude along a spline? I realize I can use an loft nurb, but there are a lot of extra steps changing the resulting nurb to an editable object and then bridging to the original polygon surface. Thanks. (XSI has such a feature)

December 8, 2006 at 3:47 pmThank you for the suggestions. I’ll try the free plugin and see if it works in C4D R10. The other two addins look interested and I keep hearing about MOGRAPH, but my needs are complex modeling and simple animations – which it doesn’t seem is really what MOGRAPH is for. I like the interface of C4D and the ability to import DAZ models (via InterPoser Pro), but miss some of the modeling features of XSI (extrude along curve, rotate around curve, better use of mouse buttons for modeling and cameras, etc). For something like creating a human skeleton, I’m still much faster in XSI. (The extrude along curve function gets used 24 times for this.)

December 13, 2006 at 3:02 pmI tried the EAS plugin and it is very primitive compared to XSI’s extrude (that allows you to rotate, globally scale, scale relative to one axis, and most importantly – set UVs). Does the MOGRAPH plugin have more extrude options?
