What are you rendering? Which target format? What are your system specs?

You are talking about playing the clip as a video file from a data DVD, not a DVD(video), aren’t you? 1280×720 would be completely wrong for a DVD(video). As for the playback – well, using uncompressed in that case is completely crazy. Data rates are far too high even for very powerful PC systems and the DVD drive is a bottleneck anyways. I suggest you look into using Windows Media. It provides good quality even at low data rates. Of course you can also use DivX and other compressed AVIs, but I recommend you use external tools to do the compression (like VirtualDub or DivX’ own encoder) for efficiency reasons (AE is not good at this).

Support of the OpenGL 2 features is not a matter of the bus system nor is it so much dependent on the graphics card. It’s mostly a matter of using the right drivers and configuring them. Most GeForce 6x and 7x will work, only a few extremely low-price versions are stripped down so much, it’s a no go. I think it’s a matter of those GTX vs GT vs GTE and blahblah things. To be sure ask someone who you know to be up to the latest info on this hardware stuff.

You can get a list of effects used in a project via a script. I think it’s either on crgreen.com or nabscripts.com. Font information is inaccesible both by scripts and expressions, so you have to gather that manually.

Just like Dave said – on footage complying to the DVD specs (720×576 for PAL) you will not see proper widescreen interpretation when the file is played in QT as the overall pixels are the same like on 3:4 footage. Your other footage has probably been un-squeezed by whatever tool you use, which is less than ideal. You should try to extract the footage at its native resolution. For your client review, just go the other way around – render 1024×576 and he will be able to properly view it.

Have you set the properties of the animated textures properly? Check that. Just for verification use C4D’s “Calculate” function to see if it interprets the lengths of your clips correctly.

Perhaps license the effect you used properly?! ;O) Simple as that. You are using an effect that only works as a demo.

I think Boris FX have their own Echo effect in Continuum. Don’t know if it solves your problem, though.
