The powers that be will not allow me to replace my workstation, so I am stuck with AGP. Is there a AGP video card that will support the advanced preview features in After Effects 7? I was looking for a Quadro FX 1400, but cant find it in AGP. Anyone know if the AGP versions of the GeForce 6x or 7x support all the high fidelity options?

Support of the OpenGL 2 features is not a matter of the bus system nor is it so much dependent on the graphics card. It’s mostly a matter of using the right drivers and configuring them. Most GeForce 6x and 7x will work, only a few extremely low-price versions are stripped down so much, it’s a no go. I think it’s a matter of those GTX vs GT vs GTE and blahblah things. To be sure ask someone who you know to be up to the latest info on this hardware stuff.
