I am having major issues with my computer so its not adobe. I don’t know whats going on. Maybe I have a viurs or something. Even as I type this can’t keep up with my fingers and all I have is firefox open and runing a viurs scan.

I hope to fix this asap. Any thoughts on what might cause this? Quade Core…12 gigs of ram… it should not be this way. =(

And let me add… it had at least 7 dynamic links AND one of the links had some major 3d going on… with tons of layers, levels, plugins and the whole sha bang…

I love ADOBE products… I hope the sponsor me someday! =) Anyway, It was a computer issue I believe and not a software issue.

Here is the final if your interested: https://www.massmediamail.com/wyd/new – There was ONE LITTLE glitch at the end but I have to make some edits anyway and that can be re rendered. =)

    Thanks for all your comments.

Hey thanks for the heads up. I don’t know too much about what needs to be running and what doesn’t on my machine.

Well I love that I can import FLVs and also render in the Background thru meida encoder and keep working. I also like how it seems to flow better with AE. This is really the only time I have had a major problem.

I did get the render to work btw… it took like 3 hours and not 13 like it said it would. But it did say NOT RESPONDING almost the whole time in the encoder.

How do I slim down my processes running on my machine?

Maybe every thing is stored in RAM. Have you tried clearing your RAM preview? And did you try relinking the files after that?

WAIT FIRST! IF YOU CAN PREVIEW IT FIRST MAYBE YOU SHOULD DO A “SAVE RAM PREVIEW” then you can import the rendered file into premiere pro.

    Just some thoughts for ya.

Yes, I have experienced the bad render bar with premiere pro. It took 1 hour and it still said 13 so I stopped it. FUNnY THING THOU…. I did the same thing last night and it didn’t take that long at all. So I am thinking I must have a virus or something… I am going to call Dell Tech support to see whats up.

You mean the color bars? If so you need to go in to After Effects and RELINK the files. choose RELOAD or MAKE OFFLINE and then replace the footage with the file you just had. That is… if you are seeing the color bars…

May 5, 2009 at 10:32 pm in reply to: Problem with Dynamic Links to AE – Help needed

I have had a similar problem. What I do is go into Premire Pro and choose:

    1. EDIT ORIGINAL – on the dynamic link you already set up that is not working correctly.

    then in after effects

    2. DUPLICATE THE COMP AND RENAME IT

Then drag the NEWLY NAMED COMP on to the PREMIERE PRO TAB OPEN AT THE BOTTOM OF THE WINDOW. Premiere should open and you should STILL BE DRAGGING YOUR COMP…

    3. DRAG IT INTO THE PROJECT PANEL

and finally you should see the new dynamic link in your PREMIERE PRO PROJECT BIN…

    4. DRAG THAT INTO YOUR TIMELINE… and you should be good to go.

please let me know if it works.

    good luck!

Its Standard. Of course I will not be using all 300 gigs but I will be uploading it in the project bin for accessibility.

    thanks

    Awesome!

Now how about having the Indicator change to that location you stop at? Is that possible? =)

    Thanks
