So i did some effects in After Effects through dynamic links or whatever (where you right click and select replace with AE composition). So then back in Premiere i pre-render it so it’s all green bars. When i preview in Premiere it views perfectly. Now that my project is finished i can’t seem to export the video correctly… all i get is these random bars, like the ones from a VCR. I really need to render this video and turn it in, any help?

You mean the color bars? If so you need to go in to After Effects and RELINK the files. choose RELOAD or MAKE OFFLINE and then replace the footage with the file you just had. That is… if you are seeing the color bars…

In after effects the compositions all have the color bars!! When i open the project it also says 1 missing file, which is the clip that i added effects on. Strange that the preview works fine with everything but i can’t export, what good is that!!!

Problem is that when i open the projects in After Effects it too also is showing those colored bars. By the way i “pre-rendered” everything by going to Sequence -> Render Entire Work Area. Why would the preview work and not the export?

Maybe every thing is stored in RAM. Have you tried clearing your RAM preview? And did you try relinking the files after that?

WAIT FIRST! IF YOU CAN PREVIEW IT FIRST MAYBE YOU SHOULD DO A “SAVE RAM PREVIEW” then you can import the rendered file into premiere pro.

    Just some thoughts for ya.

Sorry for the “double” post earlier, first time here. Well thanks for all the sugguestions but this video is due tomorrow so i already redid it. Turns out I need AE open in order to render it and pre-rendering is no help either. So i’m just gunna add effects to one small clip and then export it immediately and re-import. Thanks!!
