Also realize, the order you turn the external drives on, will determine their drive letter.
(I suspect you have more than one external drive)
If not more than one drive, Mike’s tip on changing drive letters will work.

Open Windows Explorer.
Create a Folder in the hard drive drive where you keep your video files. (Call it WAV)
Put the CD in.
On the CD, highlight the wav files you want to use.
Drag the files from the CD, to the folder called WAV.
Go into PPro, and import the wav’s from the WAV folder.

Yes, you need to copy them to the hard drive. When you import, you are only creating links to the source files.

Did you copy those CD files to your hard drive first, and THEN import in PPro?

If you want to save $299, there is another way to do it, maybe. I have recorded my PC screens with all clicks by using my laptop, which has a S Video jack. I just attached my camcorder to the laptop’s S Video jack, and recorded.
Camtasia works better though.

SP2 was an issue last year. A couple of patches came out, that corrects the problems. I no longer see any posts regarding SP2 problems on the boards now.

I wonder if it was mounted. Could you see files on that drive before you fixed it?
