Export FCP Batch List and import it into the fresh Cinema Tools database. Tell Cinema Tools to connect entries in the database to the media files. Open each clip and using Identify button make sure burned-in KeyKode and CamRoll/LabRoll matches the numbers in the database. Check several times for each clip – a second past the beginning, a second before end and somewhere in the middle in case there are several takes in one file. In case there is more than one camera roll in one file – the KeyKode is not continuous – you must go back to FCP, split the clip and create as many media files, as there are camera rolls. Then import them in FCP, replace all the cuts with these new clips and add them to the Cinema Tools database. When you’re absolutely sure all data in Cinema Tools database is correct proceed to export Cinema Tools film list from the FCP Export Menu.

Did you use telecine logs to capture your footage? Is it captured scene&take ie. is every take a separate media file?

You don’t need 24 fps EDL to cut negative.
Have you talked to the negative cutter yet? Do you have cam roll and keykode burn-in on your Beta tapes? Do you have telecine logs?

I’d rather not see FCP getting a multi-track audio recorder/mixer interface layer. FCP is an editor. Besides, there is Soundtrack Pro

select clip in bin (up down return) loads in viewer – these shortcut do just that, also with the Browser window active you can start typing clip’s name and it will select the clip
set in out (I O) – they do
go to timeline (Q) – it takes you to the Canvas (record monitor)
mark in (I) – it does
insert on track 1 (or 2 – is there keys to change patching?) F6 then track number for video, F7, F8 for audio
(?, F10) – also F11 to Replace, Shift-F11 to Fit-to-Fill
then navigate to the bin to select another clip – Command(Apple)-4 -
They usually do not change. They are more dependent on hardware configuration, than software version.
