Of course. However, when Adobe started locking their serial numbers to a specific machine, I wasn’t sure if you could register more than machine with them per serial number. Final Cut works differently where you can install the same serial number on different machiens, but you just can’t have 2 machines running the same serial number at the same time. Has Adobe changed their install process with CS3 to make this process more like Apple’s?? From what Tim said, it sounds like they have. Is there anything I need to be aware of when registering our laptop versions with them?

Digital anarchy makes a separate plug-in called Toon-It that’s designed to turn video into Illustration. I’ve had varying levels of success with it depending on the source footage. It takes a decent amount of manipulation to get something looking right and you may want to try out a demo (digitalanarchy.com) to see if it will do what you’re looking for. Good luck.

I wouldn’t be going out and buying Leopard right away anyway because it appears that CS3 may definitely have some issues with the new OS:

Dave do you mean Continum Complete or Final Effects Complete? I happen to love the Boris Continum line of plug-ins and I think they’re worth every penny. I was referring to Final Effects Complete that have apparently been acquired by Boris. As far as I can tell, these effects are identical to the Cyrcore Effects that come with After Effects, they are just named with an FE instead of CC. For example CC sphere is called FE sphere, and so on. Final Effects is a wonderful effects package, however, I’m trying to see what Boris is offering for an additional $795 that doesn’t come with the bundled Cyrcore plug-ins.

Sorry Walter – I misread your post. I was looking in device settings and changing that to 4 channels. I didn’t see the sequence setting. Thanks so much for your help (as always!)

The reason I ask is because when I ctrl click on the audio channels on the left side of the screen it only gives me audio outputs 1&2. How do I map tracks to channels 3&4??

Is this true in Final Cut 5.1 or only Final Cut 6?

Yes the large tapes. They have an “L” next to the run-time on the left side of the tape.

Thanks Walter and Jeremy. Turns out this issue was something entirely different. Our deck will only play back DVCPro HD tapes that are “L” format. The production company did not shoot on “L” cassesttes and that’s why they weren’t playing back. You learn something new every day. Just out of curiousty – what’s the difference in formatting “L” versus non-“L”? Thanks.
