Leopard benefits for CS3?
Now that leopard is almost upon us, I was just wondering if there will be any performance boosts for AE CS3? 64 bit compatability or something?
I seem to remember reading something about this on here a long time ago but I can’t find it now…am I dreaming?

AE itself is not 64-bit compatible, so each instance will still only be able to address about 3GB of RAM. However, my understanding is that most of the core libraries in OS 10.5 will be 64-bit capable and as such the computer as a whole should see minor improvements in handling some tasks on a 64-bit computer.

it been rumored that improved memory management in osx10.5 will improve overall perfomance, particularly for multi-core machines… how much that will effect cs3’s muti-core rendering need to be tested. i haven’t seen any preliminary results, but i’m sure testing will start when leopard comes out, and results will start getting posted soon after.
i’m not really holding my breath on this one, and i’m definately waiting to see numbers, along with feedback on the things that get fixed and broken before i’ll be interested in purchasing a new os.

I wouldn’t be going out and buying Leopard right away anyway because it appears that CS3 may definitely have some issues with the new OS:
