Dont know FCP, but in Premiere is the Interpret Footage dialog box where you can specify PAR (pixel aspect ratio) as well as frame rate and Alpha Channel.

You can have several sequences (aka timelines), one with nothing in it. AS harm says, double click the “sequence” icons in the Project window to open all sequences and then tab between them.
Also the timelines can have scroll bars if the height of the timeline is smaller than the number of tracks, hiding some of your tracks.
Worse case is that you did a lot of work and said NO to “Do you want to save…” when you closed Premiere down. -
Premiere just cant do QT well, especially the ancient Sorenson codec. Try the H264 codec.

Your install matches mine. I cannot recognize the effects listed anywhere in the Program folder. You must have an open audio file. Try reinstalling.

I just updated on my PC. You must use Bridge CS3…Help>Updates
Close all apps to install.

The default preset in the Effects Rack is “Empty”. Click the drop down arrow for the effects. Hope it is that simple!

I have had mixes results with still camera video editing. Some formats are not editable or worth editing, but other work pretty well.
My Panasonic captures as QT Sorenson 3 at 3 kbps (640×480) and that edits nicely.
I am working on a DVD for a family Hawaii vacation that is full resolution Mpeg 1 at 3 kbps. Premiere CS3 choked on about half the files (unsupported), but Premiere Elements 4 handled them nicely. The worse part is not the video quality but the camera handling…jerky with many foot shots. I am sure they lost a lot of good shots being out of sync with the record button. -

Titles in CS3 can be saved as independent media like previous versions. Select the title in the Project Window and choose;
File>Export>Title
