Color correction involves shifting the balance of existing colors…if blue is missing, there is nothing to increase or decrease in the blue channel.
Have you tried playing the tape in another com?

The default zoom factor for the Program window is “Fit” which can cause aberrations…change it to 100% to view actual pixels.

Mono tracks, by default go into Audio track 4, scroll down and you will see your audio.

The sound is likely exporting as a separate wave file.

  • It has always been wise to finish a project in the version of Premiere in which it was started. Install Premiere CS4 on your new PC first, then CS5, start new projects in CS5, finish old ones with CS4.

Fixing an eyeglass reflection in one still image in photoshop is tough enough. After killing the camera operator, you have your work cut out as video is 30 still images every second and even a few seconds will take forever.
I would import one still frame into Photoshop, fix it, select just the fixed glasses, invert the selection, delete all but the glasses and import the .psd back into Premiere, overlaying it over the video and keyframing any motion/scale to match the video…this could be accomplished in your lifetime.

Add another empty video track below V1 and put whatever background you like in it.

Turn off any firewire device attached and/or change Playback Settings to Desktop Audio.
