Why can’t I pan audio?
Posted by Milton Hockman on September 14, 2010 at 2:06 pmi recorded stereo audio on interview. now clip is in PP. only left channel is outputting audio. I use the knobs in the audio mixer to center the audio and it does not work. if i pan right it just mutes the audio track.
how do i center my 1 channel left audio?

September 14, 2010 at 4:15 pmIf the audio is only coming from the left channel, go to Audio Effects > Stereo and drop “fill left” into the effects – the left channel will then be sent to both sides.

September 14, 2010 at 5:35 pmNext time, if you have a lot of clips, you should look at the audio channel mapping. This has to be done before you bring the clips in the timeline.
Select all your clips then (in CS5) go to clip > Modify > Audio channels, and assign the left channel as a mono channel.
