Moving the Quality slider to high can cause some motion artifacts. Also Mpeg 2 does not do well below about 2500 kbps. For the 1:45 project you could go up to 5100 kbps if your authoring app does Doldy.

HDV is not quite ready for prime time yet…no round media and no players for most of us.
16:9 anamorphic is 720 x 480 with a pixel aspect ratio of 1.2 (NTSC), shot with a NTSC camera set to Widescreen or Cinema mode, not a HDV camera set to 1440 x 1080 with a 1.33 pixel aspect ratio.
There is one DVD Player that will output HD Windows Media Video to an HD TV…Steve Gotz has one, but I dont remember the name. -
Before color correction, try using the Levels effect to correct for poor contrast. Maybe a large number of pixels are clumped into the shadow range, but at least the histogram will give you an idea of where in the bulk of the pixels are.

Pretty Strange! Suspect memory overload. PSD’s are pretty big files. Try importing 100, then save the project and then another 100. Or batch convert all to .bmp’s.

Two strikes against QT;
1. QT videos will play only in a QT player which the target must install from the Apple website…it is not easy.
2. QT video must be encoded with Soreneson’s professional codec to have near comparable efficiency with Windows Media Video. This codec costs about $300 or comes with Squeeze ($350).If your target is media or creative folks then QT is fine, but most other folks dont have the QT player.

Use the “WM9 NTSC 1024K Download” preset of Windows media format. That is pretty high bitrate for cable/dsl connections but the short length should require just a short buffer time.

Jim, you apparantly have problems other than Premiere if you cant burn a DVD outside Pro. BTW, burning .m2v and .wav files to a DVD will not make a video DVD. These files must be further “Authored” in Encore or another DVD authoring app. The error you get indicates a lilely problem with your burner.

Try the “Write-on” effect. Expect A bit of a learning curve.

Broadcast colors is designed to lower the saturation or luminance values for pixels that exceed “safe” values…over 235 RGB. Watch you clip on a TV. Are all the colors correct? Do any colors bleed or vibrate?
