    hello all.

i’m trying to use the color corrector. i previewed the highlights, shadows and midtones, but then tried to adjust the color using the HSL hue offsets, changing the color for the shadows only, but saw it changed the whole picture. am i doing something wrong?

i then tried to change the saturation for only the shadows tonal range, but saw that affected the whole picture as if the tonal range were set to master.

    any suggestions? thanks in advance.

Before color correction, try using the Levels effect to correct for poor contrast. Maybe a large number of pixels are clumped into the shadow range, but at least the histogram will give you an idea of where in the bulk of the pixels are.
