Dont have this problem with several OHCI systems…What type of hardware are you using? Are you previewing Pro’s timeline to the same TV as your DVD?

The Audio Mixer can add volume keyframes as you “ride” the track slieder in any mode but “read”, but beware…the keyframes are “track” not “clip” keyframes and dont move when you move a clip.

Install Squeeze or the Sorenson Pro codec on your PC and you can then access its settings from within Pro’s media encoder by choosing the Quicktime Format and your preset, then click on “Video” on the left side of the Transcode Settings window, select Soreneson Video 3 Compressor from the Codec drop down menu and then click “Options” to the right of that. Should say “Professional Edition”…does here.

    Is your Project Settings NTSC?
Firewire is the only way to preview video from the monitor window to a TV, using your camera as a pass-thru.

Suspect that either Nero of Roxio have overwritten a system file like qcap.dll (my version is 6.5.1.900 a Microsoft version). What is your version?

September 21, 2005 at 11:52 am in reply to: Adding a batch of effects with one command.

You can use the Copy command on a clip that has all the effects applied and then the Paste Attributes command on a clip or group of selected clips with no effects…but beware this will cause problems if there are any keyframed effects involved or spped/duration.

  • Try exporting the reversed files with reversed field order….upper field first.

Canopus had a free utility to convert thier files to Microsoft DV. Your OS is wrapping video captured wuth the ADVC 50 as Canopus AVI’s. Removing the codec in Device Manager will solve that but leave Procoder and Pro unable to read those older files.
I have the ADVC 50 and it works fime with Pro.
