Sloooly we are moving in the right direction; The patch should be an executable, just double click it and be agreeable to the dialog box that begins the process of installation.

Auto color/contrast/levels filters dont work well with video unless the scene is static.

There is a bug in 1.5 about “failed to return a frame” that the 1.51 update fixes. Is your error frame or clip?
The location of the 1.51 patch is not important…did you “install” it? or just download it? -
There is abit of odd behaviour with the title window in 2.0, where the various components of the title window get disconnected and lost. The wing menu often restores these, but often they are not connected to the title window and hard to find. Choosing Window (menu bar)> Workspace>Editing fixes it for me.

This is aknown issue with 1.5. A 1.51 update fixes this for most.

Adding effects slows down the encoding process, not the burning.

Elements is less than $99, Pro is $700.
The learning curve on Elements is easy, although most everything you learn applies to Pro as well.
Walk, grasshopper, then run. -

The source monitor should play out to your external monitor…it does on mine machine (generic OHCI). You must make the source monitor active to access playback settings (dragging a clip into it or clicking in it).

Just did a test, rotated a DV clip 2.0 and after rendering preview files it looks fine. Try an even number of degrees.
