When I export a timeline out of Premiere Pro 1.5 from the Media Encoder to send it to Encore 1.5, I get the “failed to return a clip error.” I saw in a previous post that a way to fix it was to download the 1.5.1 from the Adobe website. I did it and am still get the error message. I will say I downloaded it to my C drive, and all my video data is on my D drive. Is this where my problem lies, or is there something else I should do?

Also, if I just export it as a movie, and transcode it in Encore, will get this same error later? Or is this just a Premiere problem.

Thanks in advance for any help 🙂

There is a bug in 1.5 about “failed to return a frame” that the 1.51 update fixes. Is your error frame or clip?
The location of the 1.51 patch is not important…did you “install” it? or just download it?

I just saved it to my computer, so I guess I just downloaded it and didn’t install it. I know this is a dumb question, but what should I have done?

    Thanks again.

And the error says that it “failed to return a video frame”

Sloooly we are moving in the right direction; The patch should be an executable, just double click it and be agreeable to the dialog box that begins the process of installation.
    good luck grasshopper!
