Windows does not support files larger than 4 GB unless they are “Open-DML”. You did not say which codec you used but the Animation and DV codecs are Open-DML.

Try turning the camera on (VTR mode) prior to launching Premiere. Is there a DV-IN menu setting on your camera?
You may have a dodgy firewire cable or card. -
The templates are customizable. A template simply consists of a combination of Shape and text objects. Use the selection tool to select an object and then change the Properties for that object. You can then save that as a user template if you want…Ctrl-J and then click on the tiny arrow in the upper right corner.

Another option;
Choose the burn to folder option and then use your burning software to do the burning of the VIDEO_TS folder. -
You can turn off an entire video or audio track by clicking the eyeball or speaker icon at the left end of the track or you can disable an individual clip by right clicking on it and choosing Enable.

There are at least 2 methods;
1.Using a track matte is the most elegant but complicated…I have a video tut on bluring faces on my web http://www.video2stream.com2. Use a 4 point garbage matte; With your video on V1, duplicate it on V2, apply the garbage matte to the face on V2 and then apply a blur to V2.

The Mpeg encoder needs to be activated on line. There should be a small window requiring your attention…check in the task bar for that window with instructions.

When there is a color cast (too much of one color) the solution is to ADD more of the opposite color. Look at Premiere’s Fast Color corrector…drag the center out in the opposite direction of the color of the cast.

I can export a .tiff with millions+ and Premiere honors the alpha channel, but in PS, even though the channels palette shows an alpha, anything I put beneath the layer is not seen. Info says the color of the black around the white text is black (0,0,0).
