Windows (recording control>properties) needs to be configured to use the USB mic first. Use Windows Sound Recorder to test things to that point and once that works, configure Premiere.

Premiere wont capture all 4 channels on a 12 bit tape, only 2.
Either do your 2 camera thing or use an app like Scenalyzer which will capture the second channel as a .wav file. -
1. Apply the mirror effect.
2. Duplicate the clip and place directly above original.
3. Apply 4 point garbage matte to the copy and configure to cover only the mirrored part of the copy.
4. Apply the ripple effect or one of the distort effects to the copy. Add a bit of blur as well. -
Import your WS footage into a standard DV project. Use the motion control to stretch the footage on the X axis by about 25%. Then just pan with the motion control to keep interesting stuff on the screen.

Talk and thought bubbles can be made in the titler quite easy…if you know how to use the shape tools.

Most all free sites like You Tube recompress what ever is uploaded to them, degrading the video noticeably.
Why cant your server handle the video? Any HTTP server configured with MIME settings for Windows Media Video can do progressive download, providing your movie is not too long (over 15 minutes.
Windows Media Video 9 is your best bet for format. -

More likely the playback head on the cam had some bit of dust on it.

In the Clip Speed/duration dialog box, choose “Maintain audio pitch”.

Transitions use 15 frames after the out-point of the first clip and 15 frames before the in-point of the second clip. Adding a transition should not be an after thought, but should be considered when choosing in and out points in the Source window.
