  • How can I “HEAL” one Frame?

Posted by Tom Krauska on October 13, 2007 at 8:36 pm

It appears that I might have one bad tape, since the video I capture shows no capture errors but does show small black and white small squares where video should be in just vewry small areas.

I’m trying to fix these obvious errors.
It would be nice to have a one frame “Healing Brush” in Premiere.

One way I can do this is to export the bad frames, fix them in Photoshop and bring them back in.

Might there be an easier solution?

    Thanks

I did recapture again, with NO errors, so the tape seems to be the problem.

[butterflyman] “so the tape seems to be the problem”

More likely the playback head on the cam had some bit of dust on it.

Make sure you fast forward your tape before each recording, and don’t use the same tape to record more than 2-3 times.

As Mike said, it could be a head issue as well.

    It was dust!

Thanks to Mike especially, but everyone in general.

I used a bit of compressed air and my head cleaner and things were back to normal.

You saved me quite a few hours of editing frame by frame.

    YOUR TERRIFIC!
