I have both QT 10 & 7 installed. I’m using 7 to view the video.
It really seems like an AE issue rather than quicktime. The video looks fine in everything but After Effects (QT, Final Cut, ect.).
Should I re-install AE?

These seem to be solutions for video that appears correct in the AE comp, but incorrect in QT.
I’m experiencing the opposite.
Could this be a snow leopard issue? Everything else between my systems is the same.

Not sure if you have CS4, but Adobe included a great media encoder that can do that job for you.

I know, that’s where it’s not saying it. Very strange to say the least. I did just do a massive RAM upgrade, can’t remember if it was working fine before or not.

I had this problem too with the exact same problem. For me the problem was I had the slider cranked to “Faster RAM preview”, when I put it back near the middle I was able to RAM preview much more of the composition.

After a few more tests I was able to find a method that works. I simply made a 29.976 comp with the same specs and it played fine. go figure

Yep, source video matches the project settings. Did try MPEG2 with slightly better results, gonna buy some new BD’s and see if that helps. I appreciate your help
