Hi- I have a new client who has asked me to edit pieces and then convert and send as Flash files to be posted on their web site. I can find no program in Final Cut Studio that will do that. Any suggestions?

Not sure if you have CS4, but Adobe included a great media encoder that can do that job for you.

Another option is to encode in H264 codec. Modern Flash players will play the H264 codec without any problem. Plus you end up with a better quality finished product. I always follow this method for all video’s I output for my clients. I use the JWPlayer and the H264 codec and it works beautifully.

Get yourself a good Compression software app. You’ll use it all the time. I highly recommend “Episode” by Telestream
They provide free updates for years, it works well, it does it all.

Another fine option is Sorenson Media’s Squeeze…

If you can get a copy of VisualHub that’s awesome for being small, simple and effective.
