I hope they fixed the issue when exporting interlaced video to h.264 (not Blu-Ray H.264, that works fine). Though it may be a MainConcept issue, not Adobe.

I had the same issue with my Intensity Shuttle USB 3.0. I also have the ATEM TVS, so I uninstalled that software, installed the new Desktop software, and capture returned.
For some reason, there is a conflict between the two BMD products.

You should be able to re-flash it if it doesn’t work the first time. Don’t get me wrong, there have been instances where a bad flash caused major problems (like motherboard BIOS), but you should be ok.
With that said, if it won’t take the flash, that might indicate a hardware problem with the USB 3.0 controller, which obviously HP would have to fix. There is a chance that this is the problem the entire time, you possibly just got a bad one.

Normally, firmware updates take a few minutes. I’d let it sit a while longer though.

Does your laptop use Reneas or NEC USB3?
If so, use these drivers and firmware:

Hmm, updated to the 9.2 BMD drivers, and now the problem is fixed.
Though it was weird, at first, the 9.2 drivers installed fine, but the Shuttle wouldn’t show up in BMD Control Panel or Media Express (though it was in Device Manager). I had to uninstall the drivers, uninstall the ATEM drivers/software, and then install the Shuttle drivers.
That’s a major pain every time new Desktop drivers are released.

I do have a CUDA approved GPU. If I disconnect the Shuttle, CUDA acceleration (Mercury Hardware Playback) works fine. I’ll try to explain again:
If the Shuttle is disconnected, and I use HDMI out of my laptop to a display, select it as the playback device, everything works great. This includes videos with and without effects/filters. I get real-time playback with supported effects.
If the Shuttle is connected and it selected as the playback device, video without any effects/filters works great. Once I put an effect on the video (Mercury/CUDA approved), the output of the Shuttle is black, and I can’t get any video unless I render the timeline.
This is the same with both DVCPro presets (capture and sequence are the same) and MJPEG. I haven’t tried uncompressed yet, but I have a feeling it’ll do the same thing.

Actually, someone tried that last week, and it worked. I believe they captured an hour long video to a standard 7200RPM drive.

Jerel, I had the same problem at first. Go into the Black Magic Control Panel and select Component as the input, then go back and select HDMI as the input.
When I first went in to the Black Magic Control Panel, it listed HDMI as the input, so I had to switch it to component and then back to HDMI. Since then, I have had any problems.
