In our experience, the TVS adds about a 4-frame delay to the video. If your mixer can’t add a delay for the audio, there are plenty of devices that can do it for around $130.

You can stream if you use the software MX Light, the Blackmagic software (Media Express) currently only records.
Yes, both the SDI and HDMI outputs do audio, but you need to know that it embeds the audio from the audio AES input. Meaning, all audio needs to come into the TVS as a single input, normally coming from a mixer. The TVS ignores the audio coming into the unit via HDMI or SDI.
And yes, the h.264 output contains the audio also.

SDI stands for Serial Digital Interface. Yes, SDI is standard def, and HD-SDI is high def, though both use the same types of cables.
The TVS takes both SDI and HD-SDI (and HDMI), and the mini-converter I linked to does both SDI and HD-SDI.
Some of us get lazy with the terms, we may use “SDI” even when speaking of “HD-SDI”.

Blackmagic sells a component to SDI mini-converter for $295. This will work with the TVS.

Just saying it’s “USB 3.0” doesn’t mean a whole lot.
What is the manufacturer of the USB 3.0 Controller, and what is the version of the drivers and firmware?

My Asus G53SW laptop works with the Intensity Shuttle USB 3.0, and I’d expect the Pocketscope to use the same USB 3.0 specs.

It may not like that USB 3.0 port. You can get a internal PCI-E USB 3.0 card, that should work. Make sure it’s plugged into a fast enough PCI-E slot though. Check BMD’s site for compatible cards, or browse this forum.

Go into Control Panel – Hardware and Sound – Black Magic Control Panel. Select a different input, click Ok, go back into Control Panel, select the correct input, click Ok.

Ok, so you’re saying pass-through works fine, as you’re getting video on your TV from the Shuttle output, correct?
But when you record, it’s just recording black video, correct?
Does the preview in Media Express show the correct video, or is it just black also?
Also, under the source, is the Shuttle being selected?
