Ya’ll should check out the MX Light software. It does a much better job with recording, and allows streaming from the TVS.

  • How are the camera mics connected to the camera? If via one of the XLR inputs, simply disconnect the mic from the camera input, and run it to your audio board.

Richard, do you plan on adding a preset for UStream?

In the Blackmagic Control Panel, do you have Component selected as the input?

I doubt two TVS’s could be controlled from 1 PC, even though they’ll have different IP addresses, just because of the single instance of the software itself.

I’d suggest using two PC’s, this could easily be done on the same network.

You’re right, pink noise may cause some problems, so I guess a general reference tone would be a better choice.

    Michael,

Cool test clip. What I would add is some pink noise, maybe at the beginning of every second, for 10 frames. That way, you could use a video camera to shoot the monitors, load that footage into a NLE, and you would know the audio delay needed.

USB 3.0 PCIE cards should work, maybe the particular one you have doesn’t work. I’d call Blackmagic and ask them which one works for sure.

The CPU you use shouldn’t make a difference, since it’s a PCIE USB 3.0 card.

Paolo, ok, the pro version for $500, that’s a bit more like it. I apologize, as I didn’t see that listed on your website. I also didn’t see where you can download the demo, I saw other software listed, but not the Capture software.

Just my opinion, but if you offered the same software, but with only one capture stream (not unlimited), that would be worth $100.

I’m wheeling and dealing, as I only need a single stream to capture, but I can’t justify the $500 price. 😉

I do like the features though.

Go into the Blackmagic Control Panel and make sure component is selected.
