    Thanks Dave,
That’s probably the way to go. That had occurred to me after I posted this, but I wasn’t sure if Premiere had this ability built in, so I figured it was still worth it to ask.

While that’s interesting and good for OS folder structure, what I’m wondering is if there is a way to have Premiere Pro itself start with bins and sequences already created in the project panel.

Sorry I take that back. When not working with premiere the system loses the drive. Even after adjusting the hard drive sleep time to a ridiculous amount, I still get this problem. Hmm.

To answer my own question DNxHD in a mov wrapper carries over the sequence markers from Premiere Pro. Which I’m super excited about. I don’t know if that’s an attribute of the mov wrapper itself and it works with other codecs, the only one I tried is DNxHD because I needed a high quality intermediate file with alpha channel.

    Yay!

Basically what I have to do is render out a bunch of small videos as alpha files with a circular mask around them for use in a flash project by another person. Each video will be presented in a circle.

I figured that the easiest way for me to get these all lined up properly is to export the video from Premiere Pro as a single video file with an alpha channel. Then apply the circular mask to the whole video and render out each section of that video using my Premiere Pro sequence markers to tell me where each section begins and ends.

If I export without sequence markers I have to go through and find the beginning and end of each section by hand, so I was looking to try and save some time in AE.

Dynamic link doesn’t work because it imports my Premiere Pro sequence in AE with each section on its own layer unkeyed.

Thanks. But that just seems like a silly thing to have to do when Adobe could just allow us to change the sequence settings.

Excellent. Thank you. That is kind of strange.
