Thank you very much. I couldn’t seem to find it myself.

Depends on my source footage. If I shoot it myself it will usually either be DV NTSC or HDV 1080 30fps via a Canon XH-A1. However if I get it from another production house, which is the case half the time then I’m not sure exactly what the source started as, but it always comes to me as uncompressed AVI’s, often times 720×486.

In the end my video often ends up being 320×240 at 150kbps-400kbps FLV compression. So it’s very low. That’s one of the reasons I think a little 2:1 compression or so on my intermediate files wouldn’t be too bad.

Having the source and the intermediate files both be uncompressed is using a lot of file space quickly.

So there is no way to batch render these then?

    Thanks for the info.

Hmm I’ll have to try that.
It does make sense I just always have to flip back into that mindset.
In some ways I just wish Vegas did cropping/scaling the way AE does.

I should also ask, is this capable of working with Adobe onlocation CS3?

The audio one is what I was after, so that worked. Thank you. But the active take info you suggested wasn’t the one. It was already off. Wait a minute… Ok that did solve it. that;’s funny because it was off before but once I turned it on and then off again it’s not showing now. Cool.

Thanks for the info. I have keylight installed but I’ve never really used it successfully as I don’t know how. I’ll check out those tutorials. But keylight was giving me really bad blocky edges and discolored skin tones. Like I said I’ll check out those tutorials?

As for the masking, thanks for the tip, do I have to keyframe the mask as the guy moves or is there a faster/better way?

    Thanks
