Fades on cuts and timecode flags
Ok two little things that are bugging me right now:
1. When you make a split it automatically adds a slight fade at the beginning and end of the clip. Is there a way I can shut this off so it’s straight the whole time?
2. When moving a clip around it shows this little timecode flag on top of the clip itself at the beginning. This is fine for long clips but for short things it covers up the clip and I can’t see the start and end of the clip to properly resize it. Is there a way to shut this off?

Assuming you mean the audio, yes. Turn off: Options – Quickfade Audio Events

Under the VIEW menu is several options that can be turned on and off. One of them may be the one you want. (maybe View – Active Take Information)

The audio one is what I was after, so that worked. Thank you. But the active take info you suggested wasn’t the one. It was already off. Wait a minute… Ok that did solve it. that;’s funny because it was off before but once I turned it on and then off again it’s not showing now. Cool.
