In Compressor you turn on Frame Control and set deinterlace to Reverse Telecine, But if your other footage is 29.97 you may just want to stick with 29.97 or do the Reverse Telecine on that footage also.
WIth the HVX in SD if you want true 24p (23.98) you need to shoot it on 24pA and then remove the advanced pulldown on capture.
If you are going out to the web or to DVD this is what you want to do.

Anything and everything that shows up on the cameras LCD with show up out the HDMI, so it if is hooked up to a recorder you will get it.

No it is inexpensive but it is not a cheap brand. It is highly recommended by some of the biggest players in the DSLR video world.

The card should always be formatted in the camera. There is a low level format option also.

Motion may have a template that you can just drop in the videos. But Digital Heaven has a free guide and grid plugin.

That is like asking “How heavy are 30 bricks?” Well, what type and size of bricks are you using?
What type of files are you recording to. But as Tom said you should be using FW800 drives for FCP editing.

1. Install the new Canon EOS MOVIE Plugin-E1 for Final Cut Pro (https://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/co…nloadDetailAct)
2. Go to Library/Application Support/ProApps/MIO/RAD/Plugins/CanonE1.RADPLug/Contents/Resources/
2. Open up cameras.plist (this didn’t work when I opened up the file in TextEdit or a word processor, I had to use TextWrangler or BBedit) I would also back up the file before opening it.
3. After the 7D info add the following lines of code (keeping to the coding structure):
T2i
Canon EOS REBEL T2i
4. Save the text file. Close it. Everything should work now.

Even with the camera hooked up to a camera, FW800 drive You should be able to offload a full 32GB in about 35-40 minutes. I normally just do a Finder copy and then verify data size and look at the clips in P2CMS plus open up the folder in FCP Log and Transfer.
With the Duel Adapter I can get 2x download speeds, but support ends at Leopard and it is not the most reliable piece of equipment, but the price was good. (you also need a express34 slots of course.

Transcend class 10 maybe the best value out there. I have Toshiba Class 4 that seemed to be okay but for paying gigs I would not risk it, I would use at least class 6. The tricky thing is that not all cards are the same with regards to real write speeds.
