How To Film Menu Screens on Canon T2i
Any ideas on the best way to film the menu screens for the Canon T2i or 7D? The obvious way is to simply point a video camera at the LCD screen on the back but is there a better way, like somehow through the HDMI port?
This is for demonstration purposes, I want to show people the various camera settings I recommend.

I honestly forget if the screens show in their entirety out the HDMI. Generally speaking that sort of thing is handled simply by shooting off the screen. If it’s not live- you could put the camera into a light tight box to minimize screen reflections, etc.

If I remember correctly, the menus show on the video output via the cinch connector. So you “just” have to grab that signal somehow

Anything and everything that shows up on the cameras LCD with show up out the HDMI, so it if is hooked up to a recorder you will get it.
