Shake or New version of Compressor 3 (has the shake engine in it, but must be turned on) You get this if you upgrade to FCS2

    Magic Bullet

I think Natress Filters maybe able to do it.

Walter has posted that his is due out soon, Hopefully not 16GB P2 or IoHD soon 🙂 but Noah’s DVD is out.

This is not a knock but if you read and understand the manual there will be little new stuff on the DVD (there are some good insights still) but most people do not read manuals and this DVD (and probably Walter’s) gets you up and running really fast. I got Noah’s last week and watched it through, really like the way they shot it, different than most training DVD, training through a conversation, presentation seemed fresh to me. Great value for the money and somethings just click when you see and hear them more than reading about it.

I will probably get Walter’s also (will get the book also) just feel this stuff is so cheap and easy to learn enough to get paid back quick enough.

[Noah Kadner] “254 minutes is 8 hours non-stop recording”

Noah, may want to check your math, just a little over 4 hours, even with daylight savings time.

    :-).

It is much like what you have been able to do in DVDSP. Do you have a question about it?

To shorten a clip, open in QT Player, select all but 2-3 seconds. Do a Save as.

Sometimes we forget about the simple programs. 🙂

That would not make a different. This would be the same thing for P2 users, you are not coming through the Kona but there is no problem playing out. I have also captured Varicam tapes via firewire to get the pull down removed on ingesting and once again the Kona plays them out just fine.

Normally there should not be a problem, but since there is someone in the workflow is setting something wrong.

If the client is exporting the footage are they making it truly 24P instead of the correct 23.98?

I know for me I have to see the problem to be able to find out what’s wrong. If you could post even a 2 second clip it might be easier to get an solution.

You have to be using the same version of FCP. You need to find the 5.0.4 upgrade. He probably has it hidden on his system in a Receipts folder if you cannot find it on the web.

    HD/Library/Receipts/FinalCutProUpdate5.0.4.pkg

This was free software update for FCP owners so there should be no copy right infringements to get the update file from the director.

This is a touchy situation for everyone you can go up but you cannot go backwards even with minor revisions.

Slow down and read! You’re trying to go to fast for the turns ahead.

This sure doesn’t seem to be the correct forum to ask this question.
