You can import other mailboxes but that is really not syncing. You get all these other mailboxes.

I don’t use IMAP but as z says that is what it is made for. You can do pretty much the same thing with POP accounts as long as you set all the computers up to NOT remove from the server. The benefit to me with POP is you can set it to delete under certain conditions like if removed from my inbox, so if I delete an email it will not show up to be deleted on another computer when I launch mail.

Both of these solutions are going forward so they not be want you are looking for.

  • [todd reid] “1-is an external Lacie 5TB Raid a couple grand better than filling up the internal slots with (third party) 750GB drives? What are the disadvantage/advantages other than more levels of Raid protection? “

Even if you go with simple RAID 0 you get more speed with more drives. Also if you go internal you should only raid 3 of the drives together, the single drive needs to be your system drive and should never be part of the Raid.

I got my copy at 9:30a CST, upgraded my MBP went fine.

Then moved to my Mac Pro, UPGRADE it also. Sata came right up, Kona3 with a 720P project played out just fine. 1080i multicam project played a-ok.

I know this is light testing but off to a good start.

BTW: Both systems were cloned before doing this. Also all external drives are disconnected when I do an upgrade.

Time Machine is a slow copier, looks like about a GB per 3 minutes. I have set an Internal 500GB drive up for Time Machine for the Mac Pro.

Stuff like Mail and Safari is super fast on my MBP.

Two systems upgraded in about 3 hours!

Harness? Are you talking the camera mount accessory?

When I purchased the FS-100 it just came with the belt clip. I purchased the camera mount and hated it, no way will it work with run and gun and it doesn’t even work well on a tripod. If I have the camera set up on a tripod I just put graffers tape on the leg and use the belt clip on the tapes, works great for me and I can keep the screen in sight.

Component out is live and yes you can set it to downconvert.

Not sure what our budget is but there are some cheaper LCD monitors coming out that accept the HD signal. Swift (sold be varizoom) makes a 8″ LCD that takes the Panasonic batteries. Great confidence monitor.

There are some less expensive ones on the market but I have this one and like it.

DVDAfterEdit will also allow you to reauthor a project. You would demux the VTS and edit the video make new VTS and slide them back in. It is not a cheap program but it would pay for itself with something like this. I have used it to replace audio a lot or fix a problem when all I have is a finished DVD.

October 24, 2007 at 8:00 pm in reply to: 32GB Cards

32GB cards are excepted to sell for $1650 US, 16GB for selling for $900 (if you can find any) so I wouldn’t think the 16GB cards will drop unless the 32’s end up being a lot cheaper, and it would be great it they are. It would be nice to get (2) 32 GB cards for $2000. Be a nice Christmas present from Panasonic!

    30×60/8=225

    225×100=22500

22500% will turn 30 minutes of footage into 8 secs of really fast footage. (I think)

don’t know where you are buying the drives from but always check out mwave.com for raw drives, they always seem to have the best prices.

Sorry this doesn’t answer your question.
