I never use iDVD so I don’t even know if chapter marker are suppose to come in, but one common mistake is people but the markers on the clip in the timeline (clip is selected when hitting m) instead of on the timeline.

I have tried several different plug-in sets all in the same strip, in different outlets. I did try the other ac adapter and no luck there. have restarted everything other than the house reference, I not sure where that is. I get to use a deck at a video dup house after hours and the have a bunch of equipment that I have no idea what it is. I have been doing this for a couple of years without this problem. The only thing that is new in the setup is going the downconvert with the IoHD instead of bringing a file that is already downconverted.

I did do that. Has to have something to do with the power or AC adapter. I have a second ac adapter that I will try to see if it is that. Just hard to wait 60 minutes between ETT to recharge the battery. 🙁 It is a pain but at least I can get my tapes made.

I also have a Io and maybe I will test that out also. Just to see where the problem is coming from.

Boy do I feel stupid. Try this – Copy and paste your clips from the 4:3 timeline to a new 16:9 sequence and select them and right click on one and choose “Remove Attributes” the Disort and it should be back to normal. Cannot believe I missed this. Learn something new everyday. If this works sorry for sending you the long way.

I would be nice if those work but I bet they only help a bit. There are several apps involved and I doubt if they are connected in anyway. I bet a script that finds and then deletes the specific files would do the trick.

Everyone should take the time to get to know the program they are using. What key to press should never be answered on the COW, sorry if that sounds harsh, it is not meant to be but there has to be a certain level of responsibility of each editor. The is a manual built into all the apple apps these days, a quick search of match frame would yield the answer.

But one thing that may not be straight forward is the match frame of the out point. When you go the next edit point you will need to go back one frame and then do the match frame. This will give you the out point. FCP out marker always includes the frame to the right of the marker.

The only “short cut’ I know is to use a match frame deal.

Make the new sequence with the correct settings have both sequences open. Go through each clip in the wrong seq and do a match frame at the start and end of each edit to set the in and out of the master clip. Then drop this into the new sequence and it is be the correct aspect ratio. If you have filters on the on the original clips you can do a copy/paste attrib. There is still a lot of hand work but it is the only way that I know to get it right.

Compressor is a weird bird to fix, and you should not just reinstall it, all the flies that go alone with it need to be removed before you do the reinstall. Take a look at –

In the bin score until you see the anamorphic column and then check it. Make sure the sequence has this checked also. This has to be done before you place the clip onto the timeline.
