With the end jump you can set it to the Menu and the button you want, no scripting needed. Each track can have its own remote Menu jump in which you select the menu it goes to as well as the button on the menu if you like.
You can set any menu to time out and then end jump which could go to the script which reads the button highlight and jumps to the appropriate track. I hope you are not really considering a 3 second delay, that would be almost impossible to not have it autoplay.

I’m with Steve also, if you balance out all the light you no longer have a theatrical performance. While it is true that a lot of the time LDs don’t light for video, we must also come to grips with the fact that they are creating a look, they want the blue and purple washes to certain people on the stage.

Memory on a Mac system never refers to hard drive space, it is always RAM or Video RAM. What much RAM do you have on your system. Hard drive is normally referred to as disc space.

could be a lot of things, it could also be that Mac will have BluRay players and software to watch, but that doesn’t mean DVDSP will be able to author them.

I would ask the Post house what they want. What you give them would be determined by what they are using.

For each track you can set the Menu, which is what the remote button jumps to, by default it is set to “Same as disc” if you reset it in each track’s inspector>general, you can choose the menu and the button to highlight.

Nothing can be scripted, this is a command to the player, the player acts without consulting with the disc.

Sorry, if you are going to a format that is HD and SD (Uncompressed or ProRes) you should set the Dimension (encoded pixels) to Pixel Aspect to NTSC CCIR601/DV then the padding, it will look wrong in the preview but the export should be fine.

to the above I would add, what frame rate do you need the final to be in, convert the other to that also.

I would go to a 3 disc set if you are duplicating these. (3) DVD-Rs are cheaper than (1) DVD+R DL, The case may balance out the cost but it will seem like more of a value, quality will be better. Remember even 2-2.5 hours on a disc is pushing quality, footage from GL2 tends to be grainy.
Remember a DVD DL is not equal to (2) DVD-Rs, it is less. 8.5GB vs 9.4GB. Edit anything you can out of these, most things can be tightened up quite a bit.
Here is the break down on Bitrates if you use ac3 audio.
3.8 Mbps – 270 minutes on a DVD-9
4.3 Mbps – 240 minutes on a DVD-94.8 Mbps – 120 minutes on a DVD-5
3.8 Mbps – 150 minutes on a DVD-5tough to get a very clean encode with compressor at 3.8 Mbps unless you are work with perfectly exposed Dbeta, and even at that it is pushing it.
