Compressor is not the easiest of apps to uninstall. Follow these instructions to do a full reinstall of Compressor.

more info is needed. Are you syncing video to a separate audio recording? Or is one camera used as the master audio? How are you monitoring video and audio? Is your timeline fully rendered, if it is kicking into RT playback it does so my dropping frames and quality not good if you are checking sync.
But as the others if you have a slate that is always the best thing to sync cameras and audio.

What are you doing when you see this vibration? If you can see it, it has to be effecting the recording. Are you on a tripod? is OIS turned on?

The conversion to ProRes is normally done when Color does its rendering not before doing to it.
The reason, Color is working in higher bit depths so rending to 10-bit ProRes retains smooth results of your grading vs going back to an 8-bit that is in DVCProHD. So send to Color as is (properly preped for Color of course) then set the Output render to ProRes.

while dropping a different formated clip on a timeline will make FCP render the final to the timeline’s setting it is never recommended especially for up-Rezing. This should be done in other programs, such as Compressor (with Frame Control turned on) Shake, Instant HD or similar. For down-Rezing it is still recommended that you use this types of programs if you are looking for the cleanest results.

All you need is to make the button area the entire size of the menu, make the end jump to the track you need.

I do have a mixer but everything from my system’s line out is all jacked up. Running all sounds through the Kona card seems to clear that up. I would change the settings before doing an ETT

HD is a frame size, 1280×720 or 1920×1080, you can post/view the 720 favor on the web, it does take a fast server/connection to stream 720 content. If you look at movie trailers you will find a lot of them are even 1080.
Quality depends on how well you shoot, edit and color correct. Well shot SD will look better on the web then poorly shot HD.
For H.264 is the codec of choice for most video for the web.
Take a look at what is on the web, download them, look at their size, bitrates and codec in QT Player, try to do the same, using Compressor or buying higher end encoders if you need higher quality. But once again, your footage has to be high quality to start with if you want high quality on the web. And yes quality always goes down as you enter into highly compressed codecs for the web but the game is to get the best quality possible (not the same quality as the original) at the smallest size and lowest bitrate required.

Doing it in FCP will not yield very good results. Doing it in COmpressor, Shake or something like Instant HD (Redgiant.com) would be much better. If you have access to hardware conversion, even better and faster. I use a laptop w/ a IoHD and a MacPro with a Kona3 card if I need to upRez.
Quality will also reflect the quality of the original footage, if it is grainy/noisy it will be more so when you upRez.
