For the most part the interface has remained the same with the bulk of the editing tools in the same place you will expect to find them. Additional features are certainly available but easily accessible.
The additional features are dealing with codecs and formats we as moving from a dedicated hardware pipeline to a hybrid version that takes advantage of the host processing coupled with added power when adding the hardware.
For the most part, you will be able to pick up where you left off.

For PAL, you can always render in a progressive look whch is differnt that interlace for motion. The rest can be done with color correction and some filters.

FilmScribe is the exact same application whether it is being used with Xpress Pro or Adrenaline. Xpress Pro tracks the same types of KeyKode and Ink numbers as a Film Composer.
If the project is true 24, then you will need a Mojo. In a 23.976 project you can capture NORMAL or ADVANCED pulldown directly over FireWire with v.5.1 of Xpress Pro.

Copy media, projects, and bins. OPen on Xpress Pro. Xpress Pro will play back 14:1, 28:1 and 35:1 media with full film editing feature set.

You want to change the tape name when it exists as a ALE file in text form on your desktop to remove any possibility of TAPE MOB conflicts. Just use a text editor with search and replace capabilities.

That is the best way to do it. Make sure to edit the TAPE names in the text editor before importing back in.

Were you trying to go back to the DVPRO HD deck over FireWire or over HD-SDI?

Can you export out of QUickTime using the Avid Codec?

8500 might be a bit high for some DV players. Try 8000.

You can’t go direct. You first need to encode the sequence as an MPEG2 file using third party software. If Sorenson Squeeze was provided as part of your bundle, then use that. Export a QuickTime reference from the Avid and encode. From there the MPEG2 elementary streams are out into a DVD authoring software for output to DVD from your burner.
Or do like I do for quick reviews, buy an external DVD recorder for less than $300 and do it in real time directly from the timeline as a playout. Depending on model, you can go out as composite, S-Video, component, or DV.
