I need to take a feature project that has been started in another country using Avid Film Composer ver. 10.1 (MAC) and bring it to the U.S. and set it up on another system here. Is it possible to convert or rebuild this project to Avid Express Pro HD? Can anyone recommed the best migration path? This offline will be used to generate a cut list for negative conforming.

    Thanks!

Copy media, projects, and bins. OPen on Xpress Pro. Xpress Pro will play back 14:1, 28:1 and 35:1 media with full film editing feature set.

Will I able to do a cut list (in Express Pro after import from Film Composer) for conforming, that will be similar to what Film Composer would spit out? Also, can I aquire new media (via firwire, 29.97) and add that to the Express Pro project?

FilmScribe is the exact same application whether it is being used with Xpress Pro or Adrenaline. Xpress Pro tracks the same types of KeyKode and Ink numbers as a Film Composer.

If the project is true 24, then you will need a Mojo. In a 23.976 project you can capture NORMAL or ADVANCED pulldown directly over FireWire with v.5.1 of Xpress Pro.
