You might also look into the drive offerings from Granite Digital.

If you are a do-it-your-selfer, Wiebtech cases along with Hitachi drives is a great combination.

    good luck,

If you installed Cinema Tools, the leader should be found in

Make sure your display is set to millions of colors. If set to thouisands, the overlays do not show up properly.

  • Not unless you want to show them mush.

DV looks best when you use the firewire out to a DV/A converter then on to a NTSC/PAL monitor.

When capturing seperate Audio and Video files, you need to very carefully track the location of each file in the scratch disk locations. If you want them to land in the same directory, you need to expressly set it. It is quite possible to put the audio on a completely different hard drive than the video.

That the box is unchecked is totally consistent with the intent.

Often this comes about due to a quirky quicktime installation or a corrupted FCP preference.

If the camera captures in iMovie, you know that it is ok and computer and camera can communicate.

If that is the case, try the quicktime reinstall>

Go to /library/receipts and delete any files that say Quicktime followed by a number e.g. Quicktime703.pkg

Go to the Apple quicktime site and download the appropriate version of Quicktime to your hard drive.

    Run the Quicktime installer.

Repair Disk Permissions for your System Disk (Disk Utility > Select the system disk > Repair Disk Permissions)

    Reboot

    Good luck.

  • 5.1 is not backwardly compatable.

one workaround is to use XML export to transfer the project file back to 5.0.4

the simplest solution is upgrade everything to 5.1
