I can test later when I get home. I have tons of XDCAM footage but the only thing I have play with on my new computer is DSLR and C300 footage.

Read your last post first, I have a brand new iMac but no AJA box. Everything works fine on mine. I know when we went to Mountain Lion and CS6 with AJA, had a world of problems on multiple systems. Might be worth uninstalling AJA stuff, playing your project and see what playback you get. Might take some tweaking with the AJA drivers.

Hope you don’t have a bad card, I just bought the same computer Friday and everything works great, no installation necessary.

True, but most of these guys give me a project rate which is fair for initial correction and a maybe one adjustment.

Magic Bullet is a beast on any system. I wonder if people will start to shy away from MB in favor of Speedgrade in this next version.
I love Magic Bullet Looks but if someone hands off a project for color correction and I use Magic Bullet, they have to have that plugin to make any adjustments after CC.
Now, as long as everyone is on the newest version, which they will be because of the cloud, we can talk all day long.
Can’t wait….

Also check you PSD files. Could be one is saved as CMYK. I have never tried to import a CMYK graphic in PPro but I know After Effects doesn’t like them.

We took a gamble about 4 or 5 months ago and started the transition to Premiere betting on the next version of PPro fixing the bugs and hopefully a few new features. This week, we hit the jackpot.
If it works out of the box with minimal hiccups, its a game changer. Adobe Anywhere, game changer.
My next call for finding freelance editors:
Project: X
Location: Doesn’t matter
Hardware: Doesn’t matter
Software: Okay how about I pay for a month of Cloud Subscription, add $75 to your invoiceKeep your eyes on the goal…. Keep your eyes on the goal…..

April 13, 2013 at 2:51 pm in reply to: Cloud enthusiasts – something to think about.Don’t really think this is a fair example. The $75 price gives someone the option to add a seat for a short timeframe. Most services, especially cloud services, give you a discount for a yearly agreement.
This option could come in handy for someone that may just need to add a seat for a specific project.
I really don’t see the cloud vs perpetual any different than renting gear. I am a fan of the cloud but hope they continue to offer perpetual licenses as well.

Tom, I can see your point, however, when you think about the price, at $50 a month, it would take 3 years to catch up to the price of the production suite. In those three years, you could go through 3 versions of upgrades. Not to mention the fact that you are getting the Master Collection at that price which I think would take another year.
I am of the mindset that if everyone were on the subscription, why would Adobe have to wait for a specific, timed release of a new version. They wouldn’t make anymore money on it because they would have everyone’s monthly subscription fees.
