yes I did the test with my wave, and it behaves like you described.
It looks like “Master reset maintains RGB balance” does not work as it should, at least in 7.1

Of course my bad, I described badly the problem and reversed Resolve’s reverse behavior.
Here is the correct description :
When “output fields when paused” is not checked, Resolve outputs both fields.
When “output fields when paused” is checked, Resolve outputs only 1 field

I haven’t seen any gamma shift rendering to or from prores with DaVinci 7.0.1, 7.0.2 and 7.0.3
I would not judge a gamma shift on quicktime playe. It’s not unusual to find two shots that quicktime player displays differently but that are are the same in Final Cut.

I would suggest using https://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/32555/cuda-nvidia-gpu-benches to bench your cuda capabilities, and see if the CUDA / graphic card / driver combination works okay. After downloading the app, in the terminal, run _nbody with the -benchmark otption
With the gtx 285, you should have something like
540.359 GFLOP/s at 20 flops per interaction (that’s what I get here)good luck

no, the other way round : 10 frames latency on the monitoring as compared to the UI display when playingI measured it playing a video with timecode burnt-in, and taking a picture.
I have been contacted by DaVinci support regarding the issue (very nice to see they read those forums and react when they feel it’s necessary) : they suggested a method to measure latency using a video camera, in stop mode : in playback mode the Davinci keeps a buffer to smooth playback.
The result is in this video : https://www.charbon-studio.be/get/davinci_latency.mov ; I would very much appreciate if fellow users could watch it and tell me if it feels the same at their place.
In stop mode, it takes 5 frames (@25) for the UI to update, and an additional 5 frames for the monitoring to update.Tthere are two sounds when I press the button on the Wave. First sound is the button-down sound, second sound is the button-up sound. The first sound is to be considered, because I have noticed the grade is disabled even if you don’t release the button
Reminder : exactly the same monitoring setup has been measured on the same system with a 5 frame latency using the Blackmagic 3D Extreme in Final Cut Pro, and 2 frame latency with the Aja Kona
I hope this will get fixed, either for all of us if everybody has the same results, or for the few of us who have apparently observed this latency

“Of course it is. I’ll try to say it again : the problem with my resolve is not that the UI is ahead of the monitoring. Don’t care about that. I used the UI as a reference just to measure the latency of the moniroting.
The problem with my resolve, and apparently with all resolve, is that it is slow to show me the adjustment I make because of the monitoring latency. The resolve feels like a truck when changing a grade. Color and Baselight feel like a motorcycle when changing a grade (yes I know, the resolve has lots of advantages for a crasy price, and I still love it).
I hope it will change some time soon.

And that’s why I have also done some tests on Final Cut Pro, where monitoring is the same and monitoring latency much better.
If we want this to change in a latter release, we should agree on the fact that it would be much more confortable and faster to work with a low monitoring latency than a 10-frame latency… should’nt we ?

I’m surprised that people seem at ease with such a high latency. If it happened only during playback, I couldn’t care less.
But when I grade (using the wave or the UI), I would really much prefer the davinci+motoring to be more responsive : grading is made of lots of fine adjustments, and I would much prefer to see at once the effect of each one of them.
