I am not familiar with Pro Tools, but you can jam sync TC on the 150 through the RCA video output jack. Menu > TC/UB Setup > EXT TC LINK > SLAVE. As I said, I don’t know if this will work with Pro Tools.

    Hi Terrance!
No, these are all in their own folders. Actually, the problem was with renaming some .wav files. Now that I know what’s going on, I’ll have to make sure the originating Avid project is closed. Thanks for taking the time to reply. — Mike

Thanks, Rick, for your reply. Yes, I can use them in Sorenson just fine. I’ve since found just closing the project releases them so I don’t have to exit Avid. I just never noticed this in previous versions of MC. But I’m pretty old, so the little gray cells sometimes fail me. Thanks again.

Well, that was it! I had 1080i footage in a 720p sequence. I changed the project settings, did a “refresh sequence” and it seems to be working! Many thanks, Job.

Okay, Mark. Your tip was what I was looking for. A tiny red socket… a lot of turning… the tape is out. A little edge damage, but it was at the tail, so I think I’m good.
Now if it was a digital file with a little edge damage… the whole shoot would be gone!!
    Many thanks!

We use clear “slimline” because you can read the label through the plastic and don’t have to print an insert. We get them from Uline, and they seem to be just fine.

I believe Maurice is correct that your D2 is giving you a composite signal. I’m not sure you would gain much over just using a composite analog path. FWIW, we have a DVR-20 with the SDI option board, but it’s still just composite.

RE: “I brought this file into DVDSP and I did choose “letterbox”

16×9 is set during mp2 encoding, so you probably “double-set” 16×9. Try not choosing “letterbox” with your authoring s’ware and see if that solves the problem. Make sure your DVD player is correctly set for the monitor it is feeding. Just an idea.
