    Thanks Walter,

By the way, I purchased your Color tutorial and was very pleased with it.

Thanks for your response. I was looking for answers from individuals with personal experience like yours. I will probably stay with the Kona LHe, but it does seem like a lot of money being that I mainly use it for monitoring. As for the drives, I am hoping to hear a few more replies but I will most likely return to CalDigit because I have had good luck with them in the past. It is interesting to note that if you look on the B&H website under drive arrays, you will find more products listed (over a hundred) from PROAVIO which is far more than any other brand.

    “how is PROAVIO customer service?”

This is what I am trying to determine from professionals who may own or have experience with other products that are different from what I am using now. Do you personally know anything about PROAVIO drives or their customer service?

Do you have personal experience with any reliable cost effective solutions in regard to HD capture cards other than the Kona LHe that I am currently using?

Shane said that FCP will not do this. Can this be done? If so, how? What I am doing now is:

    A. Highlight militple clips
    B. Nest Clips
    C. Problem is, when I go to the motion tab it has no effect.

    Do you have any suggestions?

Do I apply motion to the single nested clip or do I go to the new sequence where the clips are seperated to attempt the motion. Can you tell me how you would do this.

One way to accomplish this it seems is to export the clip through quicktime conversion as an animation file to keep the alpha channel. Then re-import the clip and apply motion. This will work, if one does not have an FX program I guess. I was thinking there might be a better solution.

It is good to know that I cannot do this. However, your comment that “It is an NLE, not a compositing application.” is funny to me. There are many things that FCP now does that had to be done in a compositing application not too long ago. I did not know that this was not one of those things.

I realize that I can highlight multiple clips and move them around, but I cannot use the motion tab to give the grouped clips a motion path in relation to one another. When I do this after nesting, only one clip moves on the motion path. I know that I do not have to figure the motion path one at a time. Also, If I copy and paste, all the clips sit on top of one another. This is not the desired outcome.

“It sounded like he wanted to select non-contiguous clips and group them keeping the spacing. Or maybe I was making it more complicated than it is.”

This is what I want to do. I want to use the motion tab and keyframes to move multiple items together. Will shift T do this?

I checked the part number at B&H and it is a LHe. Can you tell me why I need that much ram. I am sure I need it if you suggest that I do, however can you tell me what I will gain? Also, what did you think about the graphics card and storage?

    Steve,

Have you ever cut in EX-1 footage with your F900. Just curious how well the EX-1 does in comparison since you have both.
