Do you mean the quality is lower? Because I just tested it and it captured onto a drive that was connected to the computer through a USB cord…

from with in the “browser” window you can stretch the log window horizontally by placing your cursor over the area where it turns into the next column then just stretch however wide you want it.

Is it true that audio reference level is at -20 to -18 when recording onto dv-cam? This may be why I think my captured audio is too low.

Is it possible that my FCP HD capture setting are wrong because we’ve been comparing all kinds of tapes and they are all low.

So you’re saying that because its a digital capture, the levels capture at the same level they were recorded?
