    Hello
I am using the DSR-1500A a DV cam deck to capture media onto my computer. I can’t adjust the audio output levels for some reason, and they are just a little low. I realize it’s probably a simple setting in the menu but I cant seem to find it. Any one know what to do?
    Thanks!!!

If you are capturing via firewire you will not have any audio level control during capture.

You will have to adjust the levels in your sequence afterwards.

Is it possible that my FCP HD capture setting are wrong because we’ve been comparing all kinds of tapes and they are all low.

No settings control the input. FW input is just a file transfer. You recorded the signal too low on your tape. You can route the signal out through a mixer, boost the audio, and pipe it back in through another DV-to-FW deck.
But anyway you cut this, there is no getting around it: your tapes were recorded improperly.

This is my standard sigfile so do not take it personally: “For crying out loud, read the freakin’ manual.”
